Heather MacLeod-Leslie , Ph.D – Archaeology

Heather joined KMKNO as staff archaeologist in the spring of 2008 after teaching archaeology for several years. She holds a BA from Saint Mary’s, a Master’s from Carleton and a PhD from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her passion for archaeology is rooted in her belief that it is the most democratic record of the past and that, as a non-renewable record of all people, her skills and training should be used to benefit those for whom the archaeological record can make a difference in their present and future. Heather resides in Middle Musquodoboit, her hometown, with her husband Donald, son Jake and daughter Drew.
