Reporting to the Executive Director, Legal Counsel provides practical, strategic, and proactive legal advice supporting the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs and KMK. This role is responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, conducting legal research and analysis, supporting governance and policy initiatives, managing organizational legal risk, and coordinating legal services across a broad range of priorities.
